Empire Magazine (UK film magazine) The Online Books Page - free books & public domain literature etc. What the Internet is there for, if you ask me. Spike Magazine (an online magazine for alternative fiction and loads of other stuff. In Passing (overheard comments. Again, just look) |
The Big Project - UK newspapers & International English Language newspapers The Guardian (UK newspaper. Excellent online presence. Actually, no that's not true. The arseholes have decided that it's time for the world to pay for its services. The daily stuff is still free, but come on) The Telegraph (another UK paper, for political balance!) |
The Javascript Source (Where I got most of the clever bits and bobs from for this site!) Microsoft (eugh!) Symantec (Norton Anti-virus etc.) FileExt - the File Extension Source The Internet for Language Teachers (An online course on using the Internet generally, so probably useful for lots of people) These next two are here because...well, think about it. |

Some sites I have used for travelling and so on are: Lonely Planet - Having had great success using their books in both Australia and Barcelona, I can heartily reccomend this site - particularly the "Thorn Tree" - their message board, which has been great! Rough Guides - Ditto. UK Foreign & Commonwealth Office - Useful for checking Safety issues and so on! World Health Organisation - As above, but health. |
