This is the last entry from my current flat: it's in chaos and we're moving. In fact I'm surprised I managed to get the chance to do this! So this'll be a short entry. Um. Just a few things to say - I've been applying for New Zealand jobs all week, cleaning, packing and generally not been teaching. Wahey! SS

So, where to start, welcome to the site... did that already, but never mind. This is a redo pf the old version, minus some of the occasional vitriol, so that I can use this as a bit of a blog/travel diary. Depends if I can remember how to do this without swanky software! If not then it'll be email bulletins all the way. So, the story as it stands, I'm about to go to New Zealand, including two weeks in Malaysia on the way. I'm hoping to get a bit of work, then come back! Boo! Still, it's all for fun, and what the hell. I'm travelling with my girlfriend, Kirsty, and I will avoid her blushes by including as little by way of flowery compliments as I can, except to say that she's lovely.

We fly out to Kuala Lumpur on 29th September, arriving at about 8.30am, local time, then a local flight to Pulau Langkawi, and two weeks serious relaxation! Then New Zealand, and I have no idea what then! So far I definitely want to try black-water rafting (you get on a rubber ring in an underground river) and plan to see Return of the King before anyone else! Sad, but who cares? There's a whole heap of stuff to do, to be honest, in fact I quite fancy going to Antarctica, but Kirsty's taking some persuasion on this.

We are currently booked to come back in May, but that was just a provisional booking, so things may well change. SS
